20 World’s Most Nutritious Foods –and how they help you lose weight (LINK)
December 23rd 2007 03:50
The theory is, that the body will crave nutrients if it’s not getting enough, and that causes you to feel hungry or to crave foods. We then try to feed that craving with whatever is on hand or quick, like sugar or fast food. So if you eat plenty of high quality, nutrient-dense foods, your body will stop craving food and losing weight will be easier (and of course you’ll be healthier too.)
These foods are based on ‘Prana’, the Sanskrit word for energy or life-force, so if you want more energy or to lose weight, make sure you add these top twenty nutrient-dense foods to every meal.
1. Organic berries, especially blue berries
2. Organic or fresh-from-the-garden greens (herbs, spinach, chard, bok choy etc)
3. Fresh raw fish – just caught
4. Organic freshly squeezed vegetable juice
5. Freshly pressed organic wheatgrass juice
6. Sashimi (raw fish)
7. Organic stone fruit
8. Linseed meal
9. Avocados
10. Non organic apples and berries
11. Non-organic greens
12. Non-organic freshly squeezed veggie juices
13. Organic lamb and chicken
14. Organic free range eggs
15. Raw sunflower seeds
16. Homemade muesli
17. Non-organic stone fruit
18. Coz lettuce and tomatoes
19. Unsweetened sheep milk yoghurt
20. Fresh orange juice
The full list with Prana Index numbers can be found at the Sensible-alternative link above. Good luck and here's to your health in 2008!

Individuals vary and medical problems can interfere.
Organic can often be a bit of a take but that's just my view.

Yeah I'm vego so I wouldn't eat the fish, so I know what you mean. I cook with organics and I reckon they taste a lot better, so you don't need a lot of other stuff, and I also reckon it's better for the environment to buy organic, so I'm all for it. I know different tests on nutrient values have gone either way - I think it depends on whose funding the tests!
Thanks for your feedback... nice to hear from you

I've seen apple cider vinegar on lists before as a kind of super food. Good for cleansing and purifying and not as acidic on the system and other vinegars. Mmmm.... good stuff!
Thanks for checking out my site!

However, may i know where does the ranking list comes from? On what basis was it listed in such way?
Peace! ^_^

Just follow the link in the post title for the complete list. The ranking comes from how much `prana' or life-force is in foods.
